Window and door-maker achieves Made in Britain accreditation

MUMFORD and Wood, the premium window and door manufacturer, has achieved accreditation to the Made in Britain organisation.

Since 1954 the Essex-based business has pushed the boundaries and limitations for external timber windows and doors, from being the first company to have an automated wooden window production line to now investing around £1 million in state-of-the-art equipment. The Tiptree employer has also invested in the next generation of craftsmen with the recent addition of four apprentices.

General manager Dion Panting told Made in Britain, “Being a British manufacturer is a unique selling point for us, so being members of an organisation and community to provide assurances of standards and quality is incredibly important and will only help reinforce the importance of buying local!”

Mumford and Wood intends to use the official Made in Britain mark across all its social media platforms and any other marketing opportunities. To find out more about the Mumford and Wood company and product range, visit its website here and its members’ directory profile page here.
