WHAT a year! The past 12 months have seen us successfully launch our new brand and website, and what better place to have done that than the Master Locksmiths Association Exhibition? We’re now operating primarily within the trade market and have already seen a staggering growth in the number of suppliers of our high-security solutions across the UK.
We’d just like to thank everyone who helped make both our launch at The MLA Expo, and this year as a whole, such a roaring success and extend a massive thank you to our team for consistently working to the highest standards to propel the SMP brand to the forefront of the security industry. To our ever-expanding list of suppliers, thank you for supporting both the UK Manufacturing Industry, in addition to helping to grow and maintain the UK Security Industry, we’re extremely proud to be able to work alongside so many great businesses like yours.
SMP’s growth within the UK manufacturing industry
SMP began our UK Manufacturing journey all the way back in 1974 and have flourished in the industry over the past 45 years. With over 2,500 high-security solutions created in our Telford facility over 2018, and over 3,000 expertly crafted products have left the factory throughout 2019, we predict this number will only continue to grow as our business expands and develops. Our skilled workers, state-of-the-art technology and the constant drive to uphold the standards expected of us as industry leaders allow us to break boundaries, to create, innovate and provide exceptional security solutions for both our customers and yours.
What can you expect from SMP in 2020?
2019 may have been a big year for us, what with our complete rebrand and launch, but we don’t have any intentions of slowing down as we move into 2020. We’re going to be introducing tours around our factory, inviting suppliers down to see the process of making our solutions from design all the way through to the manufacture and final touches before our products are sent out. But that’s not all – we’ll be popping up here and there at a number of events and exhibitions, expanding our current product range and focusing on a variety of green initiatives to minimise our impact on the environment.
We’ll be looking into more publication opportunities, as well as opportunities to sponsor local teams or businesses – so if you’re on the lookout for a sponsor get in touch with us!
We’ve seen a pretty significant surge in our social following over the past few months since our launch, with a 37.2 per cent growth since last year as well as the “launch” of our Instagram account! We have lots of new content plans for 2020, so if you’re not already following us then now’s the time to jump on board – we’ll be using these platforms to announce all sorts of exciting plans for the year, so it’s definitely worth checking us out on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Instagram if you’re interested in staying up to date!
