WaterCare recycles and re-purposes ALL types of water filters at its recycling facility in Harlow, Essex.

MADE in Britain member WaterCare is now able to recycle and re-purpose ALL types of plastic and aluminium water filters using its newly operational recycling facility in Harlow, Essex. The company is also able to regenerate the expired resin from within these water filters to be used in future manufacture of new water filters.

The added value and service this new operation provides means that not only can you purchase your water filters, made right here in the UK by WaterCare, but you can also utilise this facility and help reduce plastic waste from filters to zero.

In addition, WaterCare is now providing ‘Green Earth Award’ certificates to its customers who return more than a set number of water filters for recycling. The first certificate was awarded to Qualitasse. This company returned 370 filters, which equated to 3,680kg of plastic being recycling. This is the equivalent to 11M plastic cups (based on a 3g cup) and 22 tonnes of CO2!

The new initiative gives WaterCare’s clients the opportunity to deliver a strong and transparent message, both internally and to their customers that they are passionately committed to reducing plastic waste throughout the industry.
