TruDomes is excited to announce its custom-designed dome, which serves as a "Snow Globe" atop the O2 Arena, as part of the "Up at The O2" guided climb experience. Visitors can step into a winter wonderland under the dome, complete with falling snow, seasonal scents, and a unique photo backdrop, all while enjoying extended time on the roof. The experience includes a complimentary gingerbread cookie, as well as a 360-degree overview of London’s skyline before returning to ground, making for an unforgettable experience at Up at The O2.
"We are thrilled to have worked closely with the team at The O2 to bring this vision to life," said Louise Stone, Business Development Manager at TruDomes. "This dome is not only a testament to our innovative approach but also a powerful example of how domes are not just for the glamping world”.
Daniel Hurst – Head of Attraction at Up at The 02 shared his perspective: “We searched extensively for a structure that could bring our concept to life. From the moment we contacted TruDomes we knew they were the right fit. Their range of domes, the projects they have supplied previously and the opportunity to see them in person were key factors in our decision. The TruDomes team was very supportive, providing the information we needed to finalise the project internally”.
Daniel explains the long journey behind the Snow Globe concept:
“This idea began in 2017 when I visited a Christmas market in St Albans and saw a family enjoying a small snow globe. The photo moment was charming, and I envisioned scaling that experience to fit atop The O2. While delays occurred due to time constraints, record-breaking years, and the pandemic, we committed at the end of 2023 to finally making it happen in 2024. The result has been worth the wait.”
The Snow Globe can be enjoyed between from 22 November 2024 to 5 January 2025 with full information of The O2’s website.
