We were pleased to introduce the Made in Britain trademark and the UK manufacturers that use it to the Philippine-British Business Council. Introduced ten years ago, the trademark is today used by more than 2,100 UK manufacturers (95% SMEs), across the four nations of the UK, and recognised by 8 in 10 British businesses and 50% of consumers. Made in Britain’s website also offers a directory of companies using the trademark and a selection of products they make.
Made in Britain representatives attended a meeting at the Philippine Embassy in London, on the invitation of Joseph Miro, Chairman of The Philippine-British Business Council. The meeting involved:
• Teodoro L. Locsin Jr., Current Philippine Ambassador to the UK (previously served as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs under the Duterte administration from 2018 to 2022)
• Laure Beaufils, Current British Ambassador to the Philippines
• Also including the Philippine Defence Attaché, representatives from Department for Business and Trade, and the Railway Industry Association
