After 17 years, we are thrilled to unveil a major enhancement to our production capabilities with the installation of a state-of-the-art Zünd G3 L-3200 Digital Cutter. Like any growing business, we constantly strive to balance cost management with innovation. Operating from our Croydon facility, where space is at a premium, it’s crucial for us to utilise every square foot efficiently. Expanding our capabilities and diversifying our product offering was a key goal and central to optimising our space.
While our existing Zünd cutter has served us exceptionally well, technological advancements prompted us to re-evaluate the best solution for our needs nearly two decades later. We undertook a comprehensive review of leading cutting systems, comparing features, reliability, and their ability to meet both current and future demands. After careful analysis, we reaffirmed our commitment to Zünd. This decision was based on the outstanding performance and durability of our previous cutter, which remained highly reliable after many years of use. By choosing Zünd again, we are building on their proven track record of quality and dependability.
The G3 is an advanced cutting system featuring integrated camera technology and additional features that will revolutionise our workflow. Its modular tooling system also provides flexibility and adapts to evolving needs by incorporating specialised tools when required. The cutter can also handle materials up to 110 mm thick, opening doors to new opportunities and enabling us to work with an even wider range of materials.
One of the first upgrades we’ve implemented is the addition of creasing and oscillating tools, enabling us to produce sustainable cardboard displays for exhibitions and point-of-sale setups. This aligns with the growing demand for environmentally friendly solutions and supports our customers' sustainability goals. We’ve also added a powerful 1kW router tool, allowing us to precisely cut materials like Foamex and Perspex for lettering and logos. This addition reduces reliance on external suppliers, shortens production timelines, and gives us greater control over quality and processes.
This investment unlocks a wealth of opportunities and represents far more than the addition of new equipment; it is a testament to our commitment to innovation and quality. The upgrade ensures that we remain at the forefront of our industry, offering the best solutions for our customers while managing costs effectively.
