In conjunction with Wieland Electrical and SGS TUV Saar, we have developed a TUV-certified functional safety engineer (CFSE) for electrical and fluid power systems training course.
The course provides the required legal basics and understanding of standards needed to properly evaluate the functional safety of a machine and to design and calculate safety functions. It covers the safety aspects of machinery and equipment with a focus on Electrical and Fluid Power technology. This course is aimed at personnel in functional safety, operational and maintenance roles within their business.
The Certified Functional Safety Course (CFSE) covers:
• EU directives, laws and standards
• Risk assessment according to EN ISO 12100
• Functional safety according to EN ISO 13849-1 and -2
• Safety-related sensor, logic and electrics
• Realisation of safety performance level PL
• Verification and validation of safety systems
• Pneumatic & Hydraulic fluid power basics
• Pneumatic & Hydraulic fluid power safety standards ISO 4413 and ISO 4414
• Pneumatic & Hydraulic fluid power risk reduction
• Pneumatic & Hydraulic fluid power safety system design
Courses are held at various sites across the United Kingdom and can also be held at customer sites depending on the number of attendees. The course material is covered over five days and to successfully complete the course each individual will need to pass the written examination at the end of the course.
