PART of the remit of Made in Britain is to make sure its members' voices are heard by politicians, legislators and regulators.
Made in Britain sits on the All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group for this reason. If you would like us to raise an issue with other members of the APMG, start a conversation with John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain, via email here: email@example.com
Made in Britain is also a trade association member of the Institute of Export and International Trade, which has recently sought our help on behalf of the government and sent us this link to a consultation on the UK Global Tariff and our Most Favoured Nation tariff schedule. This will have a direct impact on international trade after the transition period ends on 1st January 2021. The deadline for submissions is Thursday 5 March 2020.
The second consultation is on the idea of setting up 'freeports' in the UK. Access to the consultation on the Gov.uk website is here. This needs to be submitted by Monday 20 April 2020.
